She believes communities thrive when leaders listen, focus on practical solutions, and work together to support agriculture, improve affordability, and ensure small towns are not left behind.

Sonja will advocate for Minnesota’s farmers by addressing rising input costs, including fertilizer, and working to reduce the impact of tariffs on agricultural producers. She believes strong agricultural communities are essential to the state’s economy and should be supported with practical, forward-looking policies.

Sonja believes government should work more efficiently and transparently by closing unnecessary loopholes and ensuring public resources are used responsibly. She supports clear, consistent standards that prioritize essential services and improve accountability at every level.

Sonja is committed to strengthening Minnesota’s small towns by investing in local infrastructure and drawing small business back. Communities like Rapidan have seen firsthand how aging infrastructure can fail, and she believes rural areas should not be left behind.
