Sonja Denn for MN House District 22A

Raised in Lake Crystal in a hardworking family that often struggled to make ends meet, Sonja learned early the value of perseverance, personal responsibility, and helping neighbors through difficult times.

As a teen mother, Sonja returned to school with her baby to earn her diploma before continuing her education and earning a bachelor's degree years later, while raising four children.

Throughout her career, she has worked closely with her community—from migrant Head Start programs to transitional housing services and as a career counselor with the National Guard. She believes communities thrive when leaders listen, focus on practical solutions, and work together to support agriculture, improve affordability, and ensure small towns are not left behind.
